If you do not perform a clean up manually as I perfectly described in my guide, you run into trouble again. These files are not 100% compatible with each version of the game. No matter it's a fresh install or not, in fact, this is a problem with Steam. Steam cloud sync restores the entire configuration, presets, logs and etc.
Your post is a perfect example with a fresh install of how the game is broken and shouldn't of been released to a paying public. The new 圆4 update has broken the excellent sever connection COH2 had for years. Thanks For years this game has needed an internet connection to get the full benefits and features of the game. I got a new computer and downloaded COH2 yesterday and I have been struggling to connect to the game, I cannot even play the campaign, can someone help me with this issue?
